We are a private reading service, specializing in dyslexia intervention.
We use a structured literacy approach to be able to reach all kids with reading difficulties.
We teach the foundational skills of the English language, using our own materials. These foundational literacy resources were created by us to align with research-based strategies.
All of which weaves a direct path to increased confidence when reading.
In some cases, three or four weekly sessions will be recommended. This enables those who are struggling the most to have a stronger likelihood of catching up to their grade level peers.
We serve students ages 4-15 who have reading, writing, or language difficulties, are frustrated by a lack of progress, or just need a little academic boost.
Is remote, online based learning as effective as in-person learning?
Screen sharing allows the tutor to present any resource they could provide in person, online
Visual annotations (that can be cleared from the screen) allow a dynamic and engaging way to provide immediate, corrective feedback
Document cameras, virtual whiteboards, and stylus pens allow the teacher and student to write, and see writing done, in real time
Customizable interfaces, captioning, and built-in tools such as dictionaries, highlighters, magnification, and speech-to-text transcription allows for improved accessibility, accommodating different needs

In order for tutoring to be effective, two 50-minute sessions per week on non-consecutive days is best for most students.
Students who score well below grade-level benchmark will be advised to commit to three or four 50-minute sessions per week.
The duration in which a student stays enrolled in tutoring is completely dependent on their academic goals.

Online tutoring sessions are available by appointment Monday through Thursday.

I have had the pleasure of having Ms. Lindsey Norton as my daughter’s enrichment teacher for almost a year now, starting in Kindergarten. I pro-actively decided to get an enrichment teacher as a reinforcement to what my daughter was doing in class, not because she was behind etc., but to build her confidence and to try and have her one step ahead. Not only does my daughter look forward to her weekly or bi-weekly sessions, her academic confidence has increased! Ms. Norton adapts her lesson plans accordingly to what my daughter is doing in school at St. Raphael’s which has been a tremendous help. Her energy is calm, positive and motivating. She’s patient and compassionate, yet sets just the right boundaries for my daughter to stay on task, as well as makes the learning activities engaging and fun! She also leaves homework and ideas for us to use to reinforce what she’s working on even more. My husband and I have seen an such an increase in our daughter’s reading, reading comprehension and desire to grab a book and read which I credit Ms.Norton for! I recommend Ms. Lindsey Norton to anyone who wants extra enrichment and for anyone who’s child may be struggling. We will continue to have her as our daughter’s enrichment teacher as long as we can! I learned about Lindsey from another parent/friend. My child was struggling with reading comprehension, getting D’s and F’s. After working with Lindsey, my son started getting A’s and B’s and reading seamlessly. He has been working with her for a little over a year.
