Our Approach

What we do

We are a private reading service, specializing in dyslexia intervention.

We use a structured literacy approach to be able to reach all kids with reading difficulties.

We teach the foundational skills of the English language, using our own materials. These foundational literacy resources were created by us to align with research-based strategies.

Our specializations include:

A traditional Orton-Gillingham approach for students who need it
Phonemic awareness and phonics skills using our very own scope and sequence of skills
Increasing accuracy, and automaticity in reading
Selecting appropriate fictional and informational texts at the right level
Sentence, paragraph, and essay level writing instruction All of which weaves a direct path to increased confidence when reading.

Virtual reading sessions with Aligned Academics are

In some cases, three or four weekly sessions will be recommended. This enables those who are struggling the most to have a stronger likelihood of catching up to their grade level peers.

Who we serve

We serve students ages 4-15 who have reading, writing, or language difficulties, are frustrated by a lack of progress, or just need a little academic boost.
